Descrizione

Note concettuali

Description

In Emotional current, the artist abandons form to entrust himself entirely to the flow of color and light, constructing an image of extraordinary visual and psychic intensity. The chromatic masses—deep red and electric white, punctuated by blue and purple veins—evoke a dynamic tension that oscillates between vital energy and dissolution. The composition seems to spring from an instinctive gesture, but is actually calibrated on balances of force and rhythm: the pictorial material moves like a wave, capturing the power of movement and its suspension in time. The work is situated in a dimension that defies the distinction between abstraction and representation: its visual space is simultaneously liquid and organic, evocative of internal flows and emotional pulsations. The contrast between warm reds and blinding whites creates an immersive, almost synesthetic experience, in which the viewer perceives the heat, vibration, and vertigo of the material itself. Emotional current is part of contemporary pictorial research that explores the physicality of the sign as a projection of the unconscious and sensorial experience, approaching an almost musical vision of form.

Conceptual notes

For the artist, Emotional current represents the visualization of inner turmoil, the constant motion of the human soul. Red is blood, passion, and urgency; white is light and erasure; blue is breath, distance, mental space. The work arises from the desire to translate the language of emotions into an autonomous visual material—a sort of "electrocardiogram of the soul," where every line and nuance becomes the trace of an internal vibration. It is not so much a representation as an experience: a meeting point between energy and memory, between loss of control and the search for harmony.
