Descrizione

Note concettuali

Description

The work is structured as a geometric progression that guides the gaze from the outside inward, through a series of concentric chromatic frames. The cold, serialized industrial background contrasts with the vivacity of the primary and secondary colors, creating a tension between order and interference. The apparently regular square shapes do not lead to an absolute center: the slightly off-center red dot breaks the expectation of symmetry and introduces a conceptual fracture. The orange arrow not only indicates a spatial direction, but also an act of forced reading: it invites, almost imposes, an interpretative path. The work reflects on the languages of signage, design, and conceptual art, merging them in an image that is both instruction and enigma. The viewer is asked to question not where to look, but why.

Conceptual notes

For the artist, this work represents the impossibility of a definitive center. The frames are levels of experience, systems, structures that promise order but always lead to a gap. The red dot is not a destination, but rather a fragile, mobile, human presence. The arrow becomes a symbol of external pressure: expectations, imposed directions, guided narratives. With Imperfect Center, the artist affirms that meaning is never perfectly aligned, and that the creative act arises precisely from that slight error, from that minimal deviation that brings the work to life.
